At 10:30 a.m. on July 2, at the invitation of Zhang Zhuo, assistant professor of automatic control department of the School of         Marine Science and Technology, Mu Bingxian, assistant professor of mechanical engineering department of the university of New        Hampshire, visited our university and delivered an academic report entitled " Multi-robot and uav network control: theory, experiment    and application " in room 201 of our school.

At the report meeting, Mu Bingxian first showed the experimental platform of unmanned system he built, and introduced how to     build the whole hardware system and the problems encountered. Then, he describes the steps of processing periodic and aperiodic          digital signals, and introduced some methods of processing communication delay and sensor delay. Mu also showed the autonomous      navigation process of the unmanned ground robot, which was completely designed and built by the undergraduate under the guidance of professor Mu (including the construction of hardware equipment and the writing of codes).

Meanwhile, Mu Bingxian also introduced his achievements of the past two years: communication coordination and formation of     heterogeneous robot control. He demonstrated how to use integral sliding mode controller to ensure the stability of the four rotor aircraft under strong disturbance. He also introduced some of his work on unmanned driving at General Motors Canada. After the meeting,        professor Mu communicated with teachers and postgraduates, and discussed the recruitment of joint doctoral students, full-time doctoral students and further research cooperation.

About the speaker:

Mu Bingxian is an assistant professor and doctoral supervisor in the department of mechanical engineering at the University of New Hampshire. In 2009, he obtained a bachelor's degree in automation from Northwestern Polytechnical University. From 2009 to 2011, he studied for a master's degree in control theory and control engineering under the guidance of academician Xu Demin. He received his master's degree in mechanical engineering in 2013 and his doctorate in mechanical engineering in 2017 from the University of Victoria in Canada. In IEEE TIE, TCYB, TCST, TMECH, ACC and other international top journals, he published more than 10 papers, and he has reviewed about 200 reviews for over 20 international journals and conferences.
