On July 8, NPU held the opening ceremony of the 2018 International Summer School in the International Conference Center, and issued the letters of appointment for representatives of professors and experts of international summer school.

Prof.Zhang Fuli, Deputy Director of Office of International Cooperation, expressed warm welcome to professors and experts of international summer school. This year, NPU invited 41 professors and experts from16 countries and 21 universities and research institutes to be 2018 international summer school teacher. During the 4 weeks, students can not only listen to the wonderful lectures, but also have the chance to communicate with these professors and experts on cutting-edge research topics face-to-face, which will be a precious opportunity to broaden their international horizon. Besides lectures, we will also encourage young scholars of NPU in related curriculum to observe teaching methods and exchange ideas with professors and scholars.

Kevin De Moortel, representative of the international summer school teacher, from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgium, delivered a speech on behalf of professors and experts. He said that he was honored to be invited to become 2018 international summer school teacher.The Vrije Universiteit Brussel and NPU have a long-term and stable cooperation. This summer he will open the "Innovation and Entrepreneurship" course to NPU students, and hoped that the students would benefit from it. He also looked forward to working with experts from various universities around the world. At the same time, he looks forward to conducting more in-depth scientific research cooperation with NPU.

The appointment ceremony was hosted by Sun Wubin, Deputy Director of Office of International Cooperation. The attendees includes representatives of 2018 international summer school teaching assistant and teachers from 8 schools.
